Im at Miao’s uncle’s house, using his computer. The hospitality has been really amazing, I haven’t been allowed to help much with anything. I had a meal yesterday with Miao’s parents, it was in a korean restaurant, there were coals in a bucket with a metal plate over the top on which you cooked the meat. Her parents seem quite happy with me. Things are going well with Miao, things are feeling natural between us, although neither of us can really believe we are actually together after so long. My stomach felt a bit wierd yesterday, but it passed without incident. Still not quite adjusted sleep yet, feeling very tired at around 9pm, and waking up around 5AM. I haven’t had time to really take in much of the surroundings, been too emotional. The roads are really really wide and crossing seems to be quite dangerous. Food’s interesting, haven’t really felt hungry, too emotional really. We went round the shops yesterday to look for some new trousers for me, and some gloves. They tell me that I caught the change in weather, and its alot more mild than recently. It’s not as bad as a cold winter morning in Scotland, and i’ve been wearing more clothes than i’ve needed.
