Speech Contest

As part of work, last Wednesday I was asked to come and judge an English Speech contest. The college has an old campus in the centre of Dalian where I work, and a new campus in a port town an hours coach journey away. The English department is based in the new campus at Lushun, which is where the rest of the foreign English teachers actually teach. Anyway, I think I was only asked so they could include me, cause I was not actually judging, I was part of a panel of 3 (me and two Chinese teachers) to decide who had “The Best Manners”. The other 4 foreign English teachers were doing the judging, so I felt a little useless.
