On Saturday morning, Miao, her mother, and I went to the park in search of a Tai Chi teacher. We found such a man, I was struck by his strong present eyes, his good posture, and lively fun character. He has travelled to Dalian to be close to his children, and is a retired Middle School Headmaster and Tai Chi coach. He was not planning to take on a student, but has been soo kind as to take me on. Being of international origin has its advantages I guess, I really feel in his debt.
So yesterday morning, and this morning, all three of us have gone out to meet the man at 7-30am and he has shown us some warm up exercises, and the start of a common tai chi routine. I have found it very beneficial as a meditative practise. Good for waking me up also. I want to persist so I can show people back home what it is like, and say that I learnt from a real Chinese Master, who spoke no English at all.
I need to think on about what I can give in return for his time, cause it is really not a small amount of time. Having some group activity for our benefit is what I have felt a need for, so I am happy we have found something. More Anon.

I am looking forward to watching your Tai Chi Quan.
I learned some when I was 12,but I almost forget that now.
