Ahh yes, the ever present Chinese flag and Beijing Olympics Logo, along with a Chinese favourite red flower, which is presented in plastic form here. This particular example is to be found in front of the Front desk in the “Excellent Language School” in Dalian, where I attend my Chinese classes. They have a water cooler opposite which I avail myself of every class as it is free. Which I regularly think is quite generous of them, and cheap of me, to be taking what is 10p’s worth of water to fill a 600ml plastic bottle. The one in our house costs £1 for a man to bring an 18L bottle of water up the stairs and into the house. So really it isn’t expensive at all, but then the water label says it’s purified, which I guess means distilled, and not mineral water from the mountains or anything like that, and I’m really hoping they aren’t cheating me and just filling it with tap water. That really would be dissapointing, and a little dangerous as everyone boils tap water here before they drink it.
