Lesson Responsibilities

Your Responsibility as a Student

  • Bring your book to every class. If you loose it, please get another, or borrow from another class. It’s unfair for you to share someone elses.
  • If you miss a class, you may miss something important like preparation for a test, or information about a test. It is your responsibility to catch up. Talk with your class mates, study monitor and class monitor, before asking the teacher what you missed.
  • Regardless of whatever homework I set within class, you should prepare the next unit of the book before the next class.
  • Pay attention in class, and use the opportunity to your advantage.
  • Be ready for the lesson on time (that means arriving a few minutes before the lesson should start and getting books out, having a pen, and having blank paper).
  • To turn your cell phone off during lessons.

My Responsibility as a Teacher

  • Prepare material for class that allows students to learn the subjects in each unit as easily as possible.
  • Mark as fairly and accurately as possible.
  • Respond to student needs as far as possible while still achieving teaching aims.
  • To provide a fair and interesting environment for learning and doing well in tests.
  • To encourage the use of English and only English in our lessons.
  • Be ready for the lesson on time (not being late, and prepared the lesson well).
  • To turn my cell phone off during lessons.
  • Coming to English corner when asked, and I am able to.
