My Favorite Sportswoman

With loud shout, sharp eyesight she stood in front of the table, the short girl who only has a height of 155cm was entitled the queen of table tennis after getting her 18th world champion title. She is Deng Yaping, who is my favorite sportswoman.
Table tennis is called national ball in china; there are so many leaders of each age. However, Deng Yaping must be the most famous. In her professional career, the biggest obstacle is not her competitors but her height. At the age of 9, she got a champion in her province, while she was rejected by the provincial team because of her short height, At the age of 15, she got the champion in a national match. The same thing happened because the national team’s couches also thought her short height won’t attribute her to a world champion. Eventually, she was given a chance a year later. She got her first world champion in the double women’s match in a world championship. From then on, she used her achievements to demonstrate that the couches that ever rejected her were totally wrong. When Chinese people think of our national ball, the name Deng Yaping must come to their mind. And her hard work was appreciated by all the Chinese.
After finishing her professional career, she chose to learn English in Tsinghua University. To the professor’s surprise, she even can’t write the whole alphabetic schedule. After returning to the dormitory she cried. She swore that she would speak fluent English and learn from the ABC carefully. Hard pains always lead to big gains. She got her BA after four years’ hard working and was accepted by Nottingham University to strive for her MA in 2001,the same year she went to Cambridge to work for her Doctor’s Degree. Now she became the first world famous player who got Cambridge doctor’s degree.
I appreciate her diligence and love her tenacity.
