We have been in this university for one year. In this year, I learned a lot from life in the university. This experience was unforgettable. The university life of the first year was rich and colourful.

Before I entered the university, I was excited and curious about the university life. Someone told me that the university life was very relaxed and there were only a few things to do. I considered that university life might be very boring. After entering the university, I changed my mind. Everyday we have so many things to do. Also, I find that the life in the university is of great difference from that in senior high school.

First, university life is a big challenge. We don’t have to put all our energy on our study. But we have more things to do like some activities. Also we need to learn how to get on well with other people. We can take part in some clubs which we are interested in so as to make our university life interesting and exciting. We should learn to deal with things all by ourselves instead of relying on parents or others. Through taking part in some activities, we can learn more that we can’t learn from textbooks.

Second, university life is a learning process. The major subjects are important and difficult. Also university teachers are not like the teachers of senior high school. University teachers give guidance on our lessons to make us study on our own. So we should put enough energy on our study.

Third, university is a small society and classes are many families. This is the first time that I am away from home at a distant place alone. Fortunately, my roommates and classmates are so friendly and intimate. Our class is a big family. This makes me feel comfortable and happy.

University is a stage where we can show our talents. We all have ups and downs. We should make great efforts to make our university life more special and meaningful.
