Rock Music
Posted by Alastair in Uncategorized on April 20, 2009
Rock music is a way to vent emotion, express wrath and to reveal the darkness of reality by the apparently degenerate words and expressions. The players of Rock-and-roll express their sufferings in their inner world through Rock music .Today I want to talk about two songs I like most.
1 Nirvana – Where Did You Sleep Last Night?
This is the song that everyone have listened, this is the song that make you can not fall into sleep, this is the song that make me feel so painful, this is the song that shock me so much that I can’t live without it. This is the song that express Kurt’s emotion so deeply.
My girl, my girl. Don’t lie to me. Tell me where did you sleep last night?
In his hysterical voice, I feel his heart is blooding ,this kind of desperate spiritual world lead him finish his life and turn his spirit into a everlasting one.
My girl, my girl, where will you go? I’m going where the cold wind blows.
I like music in this times. When I close your eyes, it seems that I could touch the trace that left by time stroking sound track, I could observe the darkness being flew from voices, I could smell the blood being dropped from songs.
Where the son don’t ever shine, I would shiver the whole night through.
This song had been sung by a lot of people .But the most typical one is belong to Kurt. The original meaning of this song can only be expressed by silent blues, dejected guitar and kurt’s special voice.
2 Led Zeppelin – Babe I’m Gonna Leave You
When we metioned Led Zeppelin, many people will remember their “stairway to heaven”. But in my personnal opinion, most of their other songs perform equally with “Stairway to Heaven” in emotion and skill. The beauty of rock is that it can make people hysterically crazy in furious time and it can also let people taste the unforgettable pain in heart and soul lonely. In fact, I can’t find a suitable word to describe it, any description is profane the essense of rock.
Babe…I’m gonna leave you. Oh, baby, you know, I’ve really got to leave you
This song “babe I’m gonna leave you” is like this. It was recorded in the first album of Led Zeppelin. Before the album, the band had been on the show road for some times, so they had some fans since that time and it laid the foundation for their future. Though this album didn’t get the first prize in the insignificant top list, at least it not got the last one and could’t sold out.
The meaningful record reflected the music style of their songs. From the beigning song “good times, bad times”, almost everyone ware attracted by Jimmy page’s soul. Then comes the “babe I’m gonna leave you.” Robert use his plaintive and heartfelt voice bring me to a deep sea and I know that I will never get out of there.
Babe…I’m gonna leave you. Oh, baby, you know, I’ve really got to leave you. I know I never never never gonna leave your babe. But I got to go away from this place, I’ve got to quit you.
We can restart our love after Nirvana, after a long sleep. There is a long road in the future,I still need to divagate. Losing the best love in my life, getting out of the dark behind me, dropping into another trap in front of me, all the people have to divagate. It’s our road. We are divagating on the road.
