Kind Reminder

The reason for giving my elective students this style of lesson, is because this is how I will test them in the exam, as well as for them to learn some good self study skills by using real material from the BBC which is both recent and a way to really improve their listening while also providing audio transcripts. I hope they can understand the benefit, and feel proud to be challenging themselves.

I explained the above in an email to them, with the following reminder. :-)

I would also like to remind you of the description of the course, where listening and self-study are highlighted.

This course will introduce students to the broad and varied content available online from the BBC Radio website and how this can be used for self-study. From news to entertainment, informative programs to comedy, each week students will study a different radio show. Equipping students with stronger listening skills, cultural insights and general knowledge of the British and their interactions with Europe and the world. This course also aims to hone listening and discussion skills.

However saying that, I will be changing the style of lesson soon to include more discussion, but the focus will remain on self-study. Indeed for you to achieve some progress in this area will look very good on your resume.

Good Good Study Day Day Up.

Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.
