TV Show Highlights
Posted by Alastair in Uncategorized on December 7, 2009
- Glee – Especially the music numbers.
- Dollhouse – Can’t wait to see the end, even though Joss Wheadon didn’t get what he was initially aiming for, and I’m sad that it’s ending.
- Mad Men – Last season finale was superb, eagerly awaiting next season.
- Stargate Universe – Really enjoying being back in the SG world.
- Castle – Standard police procedural, like the lead male actor.
- The Unit – Cancelled after it’s 4th season. Wish it weren’t so.
- Bones – Police procedural, like the geekiness.
- Numbers – Police procedural, like the geekiness.
- Top Gear – Production values produces beauty incarnate, also like the comedy.
- Scrubs – Don’t know if I like the new season or not.
- Big Bang Theory – Really Funny.
- Chuck – This is the thing I’m really eager to see come back.
- Paradox – Unsure so far.
- Better off Ted – New season released recently, hope it’s as good as the last one.
- Grey’s Anatomy – Enjoyed it, feel much emotion from the show.
- X-Factor – My Chinese students really enjoy it. Find it quite funny how often Jedward is mentioned in the news.
- Sanctuary – Watching mainly for all the green screen stuff and of course the lovely Amanda Tapping.
- Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show – Useful for a light 20 minutes, Seth Green’s a funny guy, but the shows are not all that valuable to me. Family Guy especially good because of the music.
- Flash Forward – Deals with interesting philosophical points about fate and destiny while also taking on a spy mystery thing. Quite good.
- Flash Point – Realism is good, ethical and emotional problems also feel very real. More arching between episodes would make it better in my eyes.
- Fringe – Geeky stuff and J J Abrams mystery makes this an intriguing show.
- House – What can I say – Hugh Laurie, Superb. Great Acting, good series continuity and interesting episodic plots.
- Heroes – Stopped watching. Plot too thick and twisty, not all that interesting.
- Last Chance to See – Watching cause of Stephen Fry, light entertainment.
- Mythbusters – Appeals to geekiness and very accessible and not that much attention required to watch and enjoy it.
- NCIS & NCIS LA – Good Police Procedural, better than JAG the show from which it was launched
Others I’ll add descriptions of later
- In Plain Sight
- The Tudors
- Warehouse 13
- You have been watching
- The Cleaner
- The Devils Whore
- Star Trek New Voyages
- Black Gold
- Mental
