Dear Students of “An Insight Into Britain”,
Blog Link: http://alastairclark.com/2009/12/lesson-13-final-exam-part-1/
We will have the first of the 2 final exams for this course in next weeks lesson. For this you will need to print and complete the linked PDF and bring it to the next lesson.
The procedure will be the same as the mid-term test. You will be given some paper when you arrive to class, please sit in the same way as last time with one free seat between. Please write your study number, Chinese name in pinyin, hanzi and English at the top of the sheet, copy the answers you’ve prepared, and begin on the 2nd of the two meaning match exercises. You may use electronic or paper dictionaries.
The earlier you come, the more time you will have to complete this exercise, I will be in the class room from around 12:20 and this first exercise will last until 13:30, that means that if you come to class on time you will have 15 minutes to complete the first sheet. At 13:30 I will take these first sheets away and give you papers for the rest of the exam.
Please check that you have a complete paper by following the page numbers at the bottom, and again write your names and study number once at the top of each separate sheet. In these papers there will be the answers to the meaning match exercise to assist you with the test, a reading exercise and the listening questions. Try to answer as much as you can, and I’ve decided for this exam that line numbers are not acceptable as answers for the reading exercise.
I will email you the material for the second of the 2 exams at the same time next week. Attendance and Participation in these 2 exams are required to pass this course, only valid requests for leave will be acceptable to miss the class, and take a make up test.
Please can you remind others on the course when you see this.
Good Luck,
Alastair
