My Grandfather

I don’t like to talk about my family too much as it can too invasive and I myself don’t know where to draw the line. So this post shall be about the iPhone and the camera there of, but for me this will be writing about my grandparents and solidifying my memory. (My Grandfather is alive and well)

Maternal Grandfather

The iphone camera is not as good as it might be. It’s slow to focus, doesn’t work well in low light conditions and generally not up to scratch for the other things it does well. Quite distinct from these poor aspects, it’s still possible to take a good snap, and indeed having the iPhone everywhere I go is useful if you spot interesting details and you don’t have a compact camera with you.

In the photo above, it’s grainy and not very sharp. However it captures the mood and in my opinion the character of my grandfather. The angle makes it more interesting than it otherwise might be. The fan that my girlfriend (now fiance) gave my grandparents in the background serves as a reminder of the trip we had to visit them in August 2009.
